You want your students to succeed

I can help with that

Students and recent graduates face daunting challenges - in school and the job market, in the expanding scope of their independence and responsibility, and in the mental health environment of our rapidly changing world. Few have the skills to consistently meet these challenges in the ways that are best for their long term success.

Your students need practical tools that they can apply consistently to:

  • Define and orient toward their own long-term goals

  • Make and follow through with actionable plans to achieve their short- and long-term goals

  • Adapt to changing internal and external pressures while staying on track academically and personally

Below are some examples of high impact ways to engage. Each of these options is available as-is. I also welcome opportunities to tailor my offerings to your group and goals.

Goals for and with students

My personal experiences span my own education, career development, and career change. Within that trajectory, I have led, consulted for, and taught groups in the trauma bay at LA County Hospital, in classrooms, and in corporate board rooms. My diverse experiences allow me to engage diverse audiences using a combination of instruction, discussion, and interactive exercises.

The exercises and instruction I use are grounded in current psychology and decision-science research. The teaching is informed by my years of working with people at some of their most vulnerable and formative moments.

Group work with students and recent graduates focuses on:

  • Identifying stable personal priorities aligned with meaningful long-term goals

  • Understanding the links between daily actions, mid-level and lifelong goals

  • Developing the skills to consistently and repeatably define their personal goals

  • Developing effective actionable plans to achieve their goals

  • Staying committed to, and taking action on, their academic and personal success

The seminars above each target several of these concepts and skills. Larger seminars and small group work can be used separately or in combination to reach students where they are with the learning opportunities they need. Each seminar is available as-is, or they can be combined or altered to fit your specific goals for your group.

I look forward to hearing from you at connect@fredericbahnson.com to discuss how I can support you, your mission, and your students.
